This index reflects the ocean freight and the associated seaborne surcharges of individual shipping routes on the spot market. How is Shanghai Containerized Freight Index calculated? How is SCFI calculated? WebbThis container freight index serves as the “barometer” of the liner export shipping market from the following ten Chinese hub ports: Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Ningbo, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Its creation has been sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Transport.
