I have tried inserting a flash card in the external flash card port and removing the internal flash card. All with the same end result. I have moved the DRAM to different slots. This behavior is observed and filed as Cisco bug ID CSCtg94369 ( registered customers only) . In order to rectify this, remove the original existing memory after 2 GB memory upgrade to 8.3 version.
